Why is fresh goat's milk better than powdered? Fresh goat's milk retains its skin-nourishing nutrients and vitamins. Products based on powdered or dehydrated milk are heated so high that during the dehydration process the structure of the reconstituted milk is changed, decreasing its effectiveness. How do you milk the goats? The goats are machine milked. They actually enjoy it. It is a very gentle procedure that relieves the doe from the pressure of a full bag. They are also feed grain and hay as they are milked. It's really a favorite time of day if you're a goat. return to top of page
Do goats smell? The males do! The does do not have as strong a scent. return to top of page
How much milk per day does a goat produce? Most goats produce 3-4 quarts a day. Overachievers can produce up to 7 quarts. return to top of page
