Dermalab^® protocols

Validation tests were conducted in France.

A device called Dermalab^® was used to perform the tests. This device uses specific probes to measure the skin’s electrical resistance.

The subject is given 30 minutes to acclimatize to the room, after which a test area is defined (e.g. forearm). The moisturizing levels of the left and right test areas are measured with Dermalab^®. The product is then applied on the right test area.
The moisturizing levels of both the left and right test areas are re-measured with Dermalab^® 3 hours and 8 hours later.

Test results are indicated for each of the products below, followed by an “*”.

SOAP

Canus Fresh Goat's Milk soap is specially formulated to gently cleanse skin and minimize dryness and irritation.
Canus soap is biodegradable and phosphate-free. We are continuously working on finding ways to help save the environment.
It cleanses and softens dry and sensitive skin, without compromising the skin’s natural protective barrier or normal pH.
This soap can be used on all skin types, leaving you with a fresh feeling and healthier looking skin.
Our soap bars are triple milled for hardness and are long lasting. The fragrance we use is very mild for a fresh, clean scent.
The fragrances we use are made from natural essential oils.
As with most Canus products, our soap bars are dermatology lab tested.

CLEANSING AND MOISTURIZING BODY WASH SHOWER GEL

This body wash was developed to extend the natural moisturizing properties of fresh goat's milk to a shower gel.
It gently cleanses and softens dry and sensitive skin, without compromising the skin’s natural protective barrier or normal pH.
Biodegradable and Phosphate free, therefore, eco friendly.
Dermatology lab tested.

MOISTURIZING BODY LOTION

The fresh Goat's Milk Canus moisturizing lotion helps restore the skin’s capacity to retain the water it needs.
Dermalab^® testing produced very good results: “the moisturizing level of the treated area increased an average of 47% three hours after the lotion was applied and 37% after eight hours.”* We can therefore conclude that the lotion is “an effective medium to long term moisturizer of the upper layers of the skin.”*
Regular use will help maintain dry and sensitive skin soft and moisturized
This non oily lotion is absorbed easily by the skin.

Canus body butter is a rich nourishing body moisturizer.
It is thicker than lotion, and contains a higher quantity of fresh goat’s milk and therefore extra active ingredients for a deeper moisturizing effect. It also contains soy oil (the lecithin and Vitamin E in soy oil renders skin silky smooth).
Dermalab^® testing produced exceptional results: “the treated area was 100% more moisturized three and eight hours after application.”* “The treated area was twice as moisturized three and eight hours after being applied.”* The body butter can therefore be considered “a long lasting moisturizing product.”*
Canus body butter is perfect for supplementing any treatment of dry skin, skin irritations, sensitive skin, psoriasis or eczema.
Apply frequently to elbows, knees, feet and other dry areas.

Canus hand liquid soap is very gentle on hands. In addition to the fresh goat’s milk concentrate it contains, it is also high in wheat protein and olive oil, both of which are effective skin emollients and softeners.
All our hand liquid soaps are biodegradable and phosphate free.
Canus hand liquid soap has a neutral pH that never compromises the skin’s natural protective barrier.

FOAMING MILK BATH

This goat’s milk foaming milk bath produces firm, rich, creamy bubbles and releases a long lasting gentle fragrance.
It will leave your skin feeling supple and fresh.
Comes in the shape of a charmingly old-fashioned two-handled milk processing can.
Our foaming milk bath is phosphate-free, like all Canus liquid products.

Canus Goat’s Milk Organic Lip Balm moisturizes to relieve dry and chapped lips.
Organic, petroleum-free base.
Our lip balm contains several organic products, such as: Virgin olive oil, comfrey, goat’s milk, beeswax, marigold oil, Vitamin E, soybean oil, St. John wort, rosemary extract, spearmint essential oils and hemp seed oil.
