July 2008

It’s official. Emilie Fournel will be part of the Canadian Olympic team for the games of Beijing. She’ll compete in the K-4 (four kayakers per kayak). Congratulations Emilie, all the Canus team is with you!

Canus got involved in the community of the Petit Lac Lampton, whose lake was affected by the blue-greens algae last year, by giving the Communitity Association phosphate free and biodegradable soaps.

The Canus team is proud of the first place in K-4 that Emilie Fournel, kayaker financed by Canus, gained during the Olympic selections which were held May 17th at the Olympic basin in Montreal. Canus was also there to give all athletes present a gift.

 

January 2008

Canus, being one of the sponsors for Q92: Q Baby Shower contest, donated a total of 25 gift baskets valued at 75$ each and one valued at $200.00 to an expectant mother, each containing Li’l Goats Milk Products.

Canus moves to its new location!

 

July/August 2007

Canus prepares to move to a new location! The company gets ready for a new start in a new home, in September. Canus’ new location is 5924 Henri-Bourassa W., in Ville St-Laurent.

Canus in the community. Summertime means invitations to participate in or sponsor benefit golf tournaments. Some of the many events to which we contribute gift baskets include: IDS Displays, Borden, Ladner & Gervais, Jewish Community Centre, and various Jean Coutu branches.  Canus also joins two CLSCs in the Gracefield and Napierville areas in sponsoring events for young families with their Li'l Goat products.

 

June 2007

Canus sponsors the daily TV show hosted by Patrice L'écuyer on Radio-Canada 'Les squelettes dans le placard.' We offer our famous gift basket as the 2nd prize.

 

May 2007

For a second consecutive year, Canus is the main sponsor of the “Découverte de la chanson de Magog' music competition. Mr. Beauregard announces at a May 8 press conference that Canus will be the official presenter of the event. He is joined by the competition’s spokesperson Annie Blanchard, a Star Académie alumni known for her song ‘Évangéline.’  Annie appears on various TV and radio shows to promote the event as well as Canus! She appears on ‘Salut Bonjour weekend’ Saturday May 26, on ‘Sucré Salée’  Monday May 28,  and on the ‘Véro’ show on Rythme FM.

For 16 installments of the Radio-Canada TV program 'Que le meilleur gagne,' we give away a 42g container of Body Butter to each participant, i.e. 100 units per show. We also sponsor the French-language version of ‘Desperate Housewives’ through an online contest titled 'On l'a dans la peau' that runs on the Radio-Canada website for six (6) weeks.
 
Association de la Sclérodermie. Scleroderma is a degenerative disease marked by a hardening of the skin. This is the second time Canus participates by attending member meetings, giving the company the opportunity to inform members about its products and their everyday benefits.

Canus supports auxiliary nurses week at the CHUM network’s Hôtel-Dieu, St-Luc and Notre-Dame hospitals. We provide 3 gift baskets for their May 7 Week activities.

Canus is proud to support the Ronald McDonald House organization and their work with hospitalized sick children and their families.  Canus donates gift packages for mothers and backpacks for kids during a Mother’s Day event.  In June, we participate in the benefit golf tournament, where the 288 golfers receive our lip balm.

Canus is sponsoring Olympic athlete Émilie Fournel. She is currently Canada’s top spring canoe-kayaker. She will be representing Canada at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in China. Meanwhile, she competes in numerous national and international races. Look for the Canus logo on her kayak and paddle! 

Suicide Action de Montréal holds an evening at the Lion d'Or to honour its 200 volunteers. Canus is pleased to mark the community efforts of the suicide prevention centre by contributing a gift package for the event.

 

March 2007

Association with the Psoriasis Society Canada, through which Canus offers products to members suffering from this particular skin condition.

Canus cleansing and moisturizing body wash gels become available in a practical 350ml format. They also come in 3 collections, such as Original Formula, Shea Butter, Olive Oil and Wheat Protein.

Canus travels to a pharmacy or grocery store near you! Canus consultants tour Quebec in Spring and Fall 2007 to inform consumers about the benefits of the fresh goat’s milk found in our products. Also, significant discounts on certain products.

 

Winter Season 2007

CTV and Q92 Ski Extravaganza tour.  The Canus team patrolled the ski slopes and hill bottoms to inform skiers about the benefits of Canus farm fresh goat’s milk.  Handouts of free samples of Body Butter and Lip Balm. Prizes and Canus gift basket awarded at the end of the day.

Canus sponsors Le shower mères & cie,  a newly launched event that is already a big hit with expectant moms in Quebec.  Canus offers a Li’l Goat gift set to the 400 winning mothers selected from the 7,000 contest entries. The two featured moms receive a Li’l Goat gift basket.

On Canadian Living.com’s “we tested them so you don’t have to,” our Body Butter is rated for its smooth, silky feel. Also, the reviewer mentions the Body Butter stays on your skin after washing your hands, still maintaining them moisturized and lightly scented.

Canus Soap is favourably reviewed in an article on selecting the right soap, in the October 2006 issue of Châtelaine magazine.
